A High Protein Supersnack.

With a new product line on the horizon, The Only Bean came to us to help create a refreshed look in a brand new category. Already well known for their line of bean-based pastas, they were ready to break into the snack sector with dry roasted edamame beans. They wanted to have a little more fun with this new product line and asked us to design a snack package that demanded to be grabbed off the shelf.

As we began the concepting phase, we wanted to focus on big, bold shapes and an appetizing green. We wanted the design to not only showcase this fun, pop in your mouth snack; but also create a dynamic layout that shows the product really does pack a punch with its high amount of protein.

We then narrowed in on one direction and began to refine. The client wanted to bring to market two flavors - sea salt & sriracha - so a new color scheme came to light. The final rounds were really trying to decide between the concepts with edamame illustrations or literal edamame photographs.
